The Best Saltwater Aquarium Filter

"I can use my HOB filter salt water?

I have an old filter head of the bed laying around and I would use it for my Saltwater Aquarium. I have seen the EPA uses these and put some mud and sand and some live plants in it to use as a filter and a shelter. Would able to do this? Is that all you need to filter prudent to begin work on a saltwater aquarium? Can I use ordinary carbon filters for it? And I can not omit a protein skimmer if you're willing to manually clean it up to the surface? Thanks in advance I will be selecting a best answer and give 10 points!

For fish you can only use the filter head of the bed, but it will not be very benneficial for a reef aquarium. They simply do not have enough flow. You can skip the skimmer if you do regular water changes.
