Fluorescent Aquarium Light Bulb

In the aquarium algae continue to grow, why?
Algae is growing uncontrollably in my tank .... i have fluorescent bulbs and plants Aquarium .. Could it be the cause ... I have algae eaters in there ... the water turns green and everything. We cleaned the tank completely and two days later was all over again its not sunlight. and a 100 gallon tank with 5 baby Jack Dempsey and a small balloon and 2 small plecos. and when you have a little clean water in the tank old
Is it near direct sunlight? That certainly could be a culprit. High levels of nitrate and high phosphate levels promote the growth of algae. Get less nitrate, or fertilizer for plants to reduce nitrates (JBL kugeln) Good luck!
