Aquarium Lighting 20 Inch
Tell me about aquarium lighting? The experts out there please help?
I keep a long Flowerhorn 2 inches in a 20 gallon tank. I to move to a larger aquarium as time goes on and grow larger. researched aquarium lighting. Do I need one for my Flowerhorn? What benefits going to give my fish? How do I set it up? And I need to put in 24 / 7? Or do I turn it off at any time of day? Please help me. I'm new in the hobby. I have no plants in my aquarium
The lighting is mainly used for planted tanks, but does not prove to be beneficial for any tank in view of the sun to the earth! Depending on the type of light, colored fish may increase. Bad point is that assists in the growth of algae, but can be controlled. A tank (Even a well planted can do much as long as you like, with natural light, however with a planted tank, the plants will grow, but do not flower.) In your tank, you does not need a light, but be sure to provide natural light through windows, etc. The cycle of lighting should be applied as the nature, do a cycle of 12 hours. Although most people will stay about 8 hours due to lighting elements and algae. Hope this helps, good luck.
